Ventilation systems in a hotel

Ventilation in a hotel

Ventilation systems are an essential attribute for hotels, regardless of their size. And all because, without them, no hotel will comply with building regulations. A comfortable microclimate should prevail in every room, not just where guests rest. Therefore, properly designing a ventilation system in a hotel is not that simple.

The most convenient option is to install a mechanical supply and extract system. This will ensure adequate air exchange and optimal climatic conditions in all rooms. Kliwenta specialists recommend that you only entrust the design, installation and maintenance of ventilation equipment to professionals. Because correcting the mistakes of inexperienced professionals is much more expensive.

Kliwenta’s engineers design the ventilation system taking all the customers’ wishes into account. For example, some customers do not want the façade of the building to be spoiled by the numerous outdoor units of the air conditioners. Nor do they want to spoil the interior design. Therefore, the specialists select units that will look harmonious in the interior, but at the same time fully fulfil their immediate functions.

The ventilation system in a hotel consists of 2 integral parts, one for ventilation in the living areas and the other for the bathrooms. The former needs a supply and extract system, the latter only an extract system.

Only by designing and installing the ventilation system correctly will it be possible to achieve optimal microclimate parameters in all hotel rooms.

Air conditioning in the hotel

It is difficult to imagine modern hotels without proper air-conditioning systems. But which units are best to install? It all depends on a number of factors that designers must take into account.

For small hotels with 10 to 15 rooms, which have the possibility of placing the outdoor unit on the façade, it is recommended to install inverter-based multi-split systems. In this case, all indoor units can operate in individual modes. Their operation is controlled by a special remote control. If required, it is possible to set a partial load when no one is in the room, thus saving on electricity consumption.

VRF systems are also suitable for small hotels. Their functionality is much broader than that of conventional split systems. The outdoor unit is mounted on the building façade: roof, wall or ground. VRF systems can fully serve 10-15 rooms.

If the hotel is large, it is necessary to install an efficient VRF system or a chiller fancoil system. Like other equipment, these air-conditioning systems have their advantages and disadvantages. A chiller fancoil is easier to maintain, replacement components are easier to find in the event of a breakdown, and it is safe. VRF systems save money, the units are quite compact and safe, it is possible to change climate parameters even via the internet.

If necessary, central air conditioning can be designed in a hotel. But such a design requires a lot of space for special air ducts.

Kliwenta’s specialists recommend that you only ask for help from specialists. Our company employs professionals with many years of experience, who will install an air-conditioning system in any hotel, taking into account all the nuances.
